Bachelor of Science in renal dialysis technology is an undergraduate allied health science course that is in high demand in recent times especially with the rise in need of medical technology to aid in treatment and health-related care and procedures. The graduation from this course leads to a career mainly as a dialysis technician. The dialysis technicians monitor the process of dialysis and operate its machinery for the removal of wastes or excess fluid from the blood of patients with nonfunctioning or poorly functioning kidneys. They prepare the patients, counsel them and prepare a post-procedure report. They usually work under a doctor's or nurse's supervision in hospitals, clinics, and dialysis centers.
